Updates: On On Monday, June 15th, 2009 the grounds and maintenance manager, John Tobin RM had the following input which is being added to our Poipu Shores editorial.
The Poipu Shores RM budget announcement for the AOAO comes in November of each year. Mr. Tobin reported that there are currently some small projects commenced on site at this time, nothing that would constitute major renovation. Currently, there are no plans for major renovation or assessments in the foreseeable future.
2008 did bring an assessment to the AOAO, all of which has been paid off in a timely fashion. The assessment was for insurance increases and the following major renovations. Note that each member of the AOAO was charged a portion of the total assessment based on the square foot total of each owner.
- Building A (concrete structure) – - Block Spalding repairs on all exterior surfaces, new mauka side railing, new tile on lanais.
- Buildin B – (wood and concrete structure) – Block Spalding repairs on all exterior surfaces, Sologaurd walkway resurfacing, new railings on mauka also.
- Building C – (wooden structure) – Newly tiled lanais, all walk ways redone (sologaurd heavyduty 5/8″ thick surfacing).
In late 2007, the pool at Poipu Shores was upgraded from plaster walls to ceramic tile.
